Designed with an 'all-day dining' audience in mind, we set out to create a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere that embodied the bustling energy of a marketplace. To achieve this, we employed big, bold, colourful graphic art that created a sense of fun and playfulness. This artwork also served as a clever wayfinding tool, guiding diners to the various food stations scattered throughout the restaurant.

For artwork, we brought the space alive with an explosion of creativity, all of which echoed the traditional marketplace theme. Throughout the space are chalkboards with illustrations by artist Lama Khatib Daniel, of food and drink fashioned in a style reminiscent of artistic greengrocer or butcher shop signs.

Statement installations include a giant pizza paddle wall, a display of laser-cut and backlit animal silhouettes, oversized vegetables mounted on plinths, and oversized colourful lollypops hang from the ceiling. Dynamic murals of falling coffee cups splash across white tiled walls while art of large, oversized fish swim through the space. In the salad and juice bar we created a stand-out feature installation made from 2,500 faux fruits and vegetables that depicts a face inspired by the art of Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

In the corridors leading up to the restrooms, a series of five photographs printed on wood panels and displayed in black custom-made metal frames were placed to showcase market food vendors from around the world, telling the story of Gastronomy’s international dining experience.

Wall installation of artisan-crafted pizza boards adds a rustic and engaging focal point, enhancing the restaurant's storytelling through bespoke, food-inspired design.
Dramatic coffee splash mural embodies dynamic visual storytelling and experiential design, celebrating café culture with a contemporary art twist.
Graphic repetition of cow silhouettes evokes market-inspired themes, combining bold, monochrome aesthetics with Capsule Arts' creative curation approach.
Oversized fish illustrations swim across tiled walls, infusing the space with whimsical, narrative-led design that reflects the seafood station's culinary theme.
Sculptural pear with a glossy finish offers a minimalist, contemporary art piece that bridges food motifs with elegant form and materiality.
Wall-mounted moka pots double as lighting fixtures, offering functional art that merges design innovation with nostalgic culinary icons.
