The Capsule Arts team curated, designed and executed an art package for Upside Living, a modern residential hub located in Business Bay, Dubai. The community is built around the concept of fostering connected living and growth amongst like-minded individuals.
Highly influenced by the narrative of culture and connectivity, the artwork selection features design and illustrations that bring a touch of character, a level of sophistication and a heightened sense of elevated living into the apartment units.
Working alongside our in-house design team, we sought out the talents of Dubai-based artists and designers like printmaker Darrel Perkins, known for his intricate designs on storytelling and artist Arwa Al Shamsi, for her dreamy and mystical mixed media collages, and abstract artist and visual designer Indu Nandakumar, therefore representing talent from the local artist community.
One distinctive aspect of Upside Living’s apartments is the curated 'Gallery Wall' in the living room. Displaying a diverse array of designs, illustrations, and printing forms, the art collection perfectly aligns with the project's vision of shaping a narrative of creative freedom and fostering a close-knit community.
Our expertise as art specialists for interiors goes beyond curating the artwork. Careful consideration goes into every design detail; from playing with proportions and scale to choosing complementing materials and colours for the frames and mounting - these finishing touches contribute to bringing together a cohesive arrangement and the overall aesthetic of the interior design.
