Our review of Noor Riyadh

This December, we travelled back to Riyadh to experience the seventh edition of Noor Riyadh, the world's largest light art festival, and saw several districts within the state being lit up with large-scale light art, using building projections, performances, artworks, and more. It was an exhilarating experience to witness such amazing acts of art.

The moment we landed, we attended the VIP opening ceremony, where we experienced a night of creativity and sophistication. The event had a selection of artists showcasing their artwork and gathered people on an international and regional scale.

The first day of the Noor Riyadh exhibition was titled "Refracted Identities, Shared Futures." and hosted a diverse collection of artworks and installations created by local and international artists. The exhibition acts as an immersive art hub that showcases a diverse selection of digital and interactive artworks, allowing viewers to experience and interact with each installation as they navigate through the space.

On the second day, we made a trip to Salam Park, a unique and popular destination amongst tourists and residents alike, and observed the park decorated with colorful installations, and quirky neon signs allowing its visitors to engage with the art.

On our last day, we visited Wadi Hanifah, a well-known community space that falls under the Noor Riyadh festival, as it features public works of art, such as sculptures, installations, and workshops, fostering a dialogue between the residents and artists.

The exhibition served as a dynamic showcase of diverse artistic expressions, fostering a vibrant community for artists and designers seeking inspiration. Furthermore, it has evolved as an attractive entertainment destination for Riyadh people, providing a unique combination of cultural enrichment in art.
