ISEA2014 & Abu Dhabi Art Hub call for Artists in Residence

ISEA2014 (20th International Symposium on Electronic Art) and the Abu Dhabi Art Hub have announced a Call for Artists for a residency programme.  The three selected artists will go on to have a 4-week residency in the lead up to ISEA 2014,  making work related to the ISEA2014 theme of 'location'. Residents will be introduced to the rich history, culture, and traditions of the UAE with day trips around Abu Dhabi and Dubai, along with an excursion to one of Art Hub’s residency locations in the beautiful desert oasis of Liwa.

Residencies will run between 1 September and 15 November 2014  and artists should apply by 23 June. For more information and to apply click here.

Calling all artists: Become part of our new limited edition art print collection

We are excited to announce that Capsule Arts will be launching our second collection of limited edition art prints this Autumn. We are on the look out for both emerging and established artistic talent to work with, and would love to hear from all artists. We work collaboratively with artists to develop limited edition prints that are of the highest quality, while still being affordable. Through these collections, which are sold via our online store as well as at innovative pop up exhibitions and events, we are committed to helping artists build sustainable art careers in the region.

We also commission artists for our bespoke projects. Capsule Arts’ past projects include several of the region’s most high-profile hotels and commercial spaces.

As an arts company based in Dubai, we are keen to support homegrown talent and welcome applications from artists based in the UAE and the wider region. However if you’re an international artist and would like to work with us, we still want to hear from you!

Download our artist guide to working with Capsule Arts for more information. To be considered for the new limited edition print collection, please complete the online application form by 25 May 2014. Supporting documents and imagery accompanying your application should be emailed to as per the instructions on the form.

Live It Up Uganda

We recently came across the organisation Live It Up Uganda and their call to artists for their 'Conscious Products' range. These items are either produced/created or donated to support, spread awareness and sustain the work of Live It Up Uganda, a home for abandoned and orphaned children providing a safe environment for them to live, thrive and grow. A range of artist designed T-shirts are planned to go on sale at Virgin Megastore in Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Mall alongside their new conscious products range. And what's great is that 100% of proceeds from conscious products go directly into the full living expenses, healthcare and education of all the children under Live It Up Uganda. If you have an idea you'd like to share with the organisers, and get involved in the project you can email
