The warehouse that Capsule Arts calls home - Lobo & Listone in Al Quoz - is currently the site of an intriguing exhibition by ISEA2014 (the 20th International Symposium on Electronic Art). Continuing until this Saturday, 8 November, the exhibition features work by a range of artists including Maitha Demaithan and Ammar al Attar. The exhibition will end this Saturday during Quoz Arts Festival with the closing ceremony of ISEA2014 from 7-10pm, when the event will be handed over to Vancouver for ISEA2015.
ISEA2014 (20th International Symposium on Electronic Art) and the Abu Dhabi Art Hub have announced a Call for Artists for a residency programme. The three selected artists will go on to have a 4-week residency in the lead up to ISEA 2014, making work related to the ISEA2014 theme of 'location'. Residents will be introduced to the rich history, culture, and traditions of the UAE with day trips around Abu Dhabi and Dubai, along with an excursion to one of Art Hub’s residency locations in the beautiful desert oasis of Liwa.
Residencies will run between 1 September and 15 November 2014 and artists should apply by 23 June. For more information and to apply click here.
